You're right. I'd say it's a very close race between Alexspetty and Guernica. After listening to Tubedude's demo, I could hear either one pulling off that kind of stuff without a hitch; each bringing something different to the table.

Hey man... no problem... you gots the stuff... and I got no problem sayin' it. :p

WATYF

WATYF and Chessrock...
PLEASE dont think that project that is posted right now is mine. Its another band I spent 5 minutes recording, just popped it up for the hell of it.
My stuff is quit different!
The old thread still leads one of my old tunes I think --> here <-- and keep in mind my new stuff is a litle more marketable and a tad more upbeat and maybe even heavier sounding at times, too.
Anyway, thanks for the ideas and posts, I'm going to listen to everyone stuff and make some contacts and see what happens.

Anyone else?

Ok some pretty good singers... I'm still not sure what kind of match I could make though. I htink what I want is someone loud, and aggressive, but that still sings and has range. I dunno. Kinda like the dide that sang on my demo song, only with more range.
I'm going to get some stuff together and post it and see who every thinks will fit it best I think. Anyone down with that?

tubedude, i still think your best bet is to post two versions of your song. one with scrach vox and one without vox. then anyone can download and add vox to the voxless tracks and you can hear exactly what a singer would sound like singing your song.

btw, there is a whole website devoted to this type of thing. it's called nowrecording.com.

You need to PM Track Rat. He posted a demo a couple of months ago, and the singer was like a combination between the frontment for Buckcherry and Queensryche (sp?).

If memory serves me (doubtful), it wasn't just a thing Track Rat was recording for somebody else, but something he was working on as part of a band...I could be wrong about that, but I'm not wrong about that singer's unlimited range.

Good luck.

Tubedude,

This is a guy I know from when I lived in Chicago. He's actually out in California right now in this band (site below). I think there is a link there to their music. Unfortunately it's on mp3.com. I think he has an unbelievable rock voice. His range is incredible. Plus the bastard is buff an good looking and chicks did him ;):D. Truly marketable IMHO. I'm not sure why I didn't think of him sooner.

Here's the site

http://www.7months.com

It looks like the band is still going and doing an album right now. I haven't talked to him in quite awhile, but I'm sure I can get a hold of him if you're interested to see if he is available.

P.S. I haven't checked out the mp3.com site for awhile. I'm assuming they still have stuff posted there, but I'm not sure. But they do still have the link on their web site, so hopefully so (I can't check at work).

hey erland is rock.....ish.........like...kinda...lmao..

LMAO!I like erlands music but "rock singer" doesnt come to mind when I think of him(based on what I've heard of his music, although Im sure he could sing rock)...it doesnt come to mind when I think of most of the people Gigde named except for a couple of people and one of them is you.

You gotta be able to scream and belt out a rockin tune to be classified as a rock singer. You do a good job at both of those things.:D

like i said, i was using the term loosely.....

Yeah I know....just bugging you man.LOL.There are all kinds of rock classifications...Voxvendor is a good pop/rock singer.

So far I have gone through and listend to one song each from Emeric, Jamal Buchet and Sluice (about 3 from sluice, what a crackhead! He scares me! Cool stuff..)
I think Jamal could make himself fit on this stuff pretty well from what I've heard, not that he wants to or anything, but I might ask soon.
Gonna listen to some more as I can.

LOL...yeah, I'm thinking Jamal would probably move to the dark side of the moon, if necessary.

Ok, as much as I hate putting unfinished product up, I'll go through one that I have the drums done on, I'll do a quick double track on the guitars and lay down a bass line, and I'll post it in a couple days, unmixed, just to give an idea.
I need someone with a little range, a bit of gravel in the voice, and that can get loud and agressive when needed... I mean, toss it on the local rock station and listen to some Alice in Chains, or some of the newer stuff, even some old STP... I just need someone that could take things to the next level for me, someone that sounds professional.
I'll get something up in a few days, one of the lighter ones, kind of sounds like a mix between Deftones and STP and something a little lighter... we'll see how it goes...
