Interesting track Ghost

Nice use of percussion, kinda "laid back" reggae

A clear recording, balanced, with enough effects to acheive the feel, but it seems like you held back enough to keep it "pro sounding"

The tune drags a bit after a while, its a nice melody, but could use a change of some sort for being almost 5 minutes long.
(That is strictly My opinion, and may be taken with a grain of salt :D )

Fine Job!

I really liked this song - nice drum groove going on. All I can say is I pretty much agree with all the comments before. If you want echo thing on the last syllable of a line for the voice, that might be kind of cool - but you probably don't need the heavier delay/reverb during the rest of the vocal.

Great job!

I could hear some Police and Alan Parsons vibe to this song. The vocals were a tad piercing on my monitors but they were still very well done. Maybe a little EQ cut. The song had a good groove to it. I do agree the song needs a more pronounced change to it. IMHO Instead of the bell keys solo a gtr solo or even a sax solo would of sounded better. You got very good drum and bass sound. The song was mixed very good also.
Good work

Respects. Epilogue.

To,

jcmm, jeffoest and Myx62,

Thanks for checking out the track and for offering your mixing and compositional advice. It is helpful and appreciated.

I will bump this one no more and thank everyone again who gave it a spin and offered their thoughts.

You guys are the best!

Cheers! :)

sweet fidelity in that mix. I hear everything clear and finite. The low end is cool. The highs are sweet, but there is a tiny bit of sibilance on the chorus, but it donbodda me nun... The loop is smooth and hypnotic with nothing jabbin at ya. Drums sound good, the difference in the snares gets my attention a little though. If you swung the looser one in closer some to the middle or swapped the voices on them it wouldnt make me turn to the hard left so much. But, I was listening really hard, otherwise might not look at it that way. The kick sounds good but could use just a tad of clarity myabe back the verb off a touch like was mentioned, cause it leads the dance. I could loop this one and relax really deep man. An occasional backbeat upstroke on a guitar or piano and you got the seesaw goin., and maybe an occasional 3 to 5 note fill on guitar between lines. Real nice, real nice.. love that drum lick in the chorus..

Hey man I'm giving this a listen on the phones. It's getting a little late here. You're probably no looking for anymore mix comments anyway. Just wanted to let you know I dug the tune. Must have been cool digging this up. I should do that soon. Get in touch with the past a bit eh? Good tune.

mix comments were covered..

cool song! I also liked the bell solo..

Hey ghost,
ditto on the mix comments. Yeah, i didnt catch the reggae vibe but that really doesnt matter. Definitely cool tune here. ...also a ditto on the 80's influences. ...and the bells, definitely cool and unexpected. I really liked the drums in this one too. That high whining falsetto also, very cool.
very cool!

Hi there

Those drums were great. The start had an almost Sting feel to it. Your vocal is great, nice echo on them. Just to say I listened and enjoyed.
