dude....that is wwwwaaaayyyy to general. How many inputs do you want/need? What are you recording? What are your computer specs? What is your budget?
We can just throw out a list of cards, but it would be eaiser if you could narrow the field just a bit.

God, I hope nobody ever takes that advice.. Never, EVER let windows update update ANY drivers on your machine. EVER. Repeat.. Never, EVER let windows update update ANY drivers on your macnine. EVER.
That is a surefire way to cause problems. Everytime. If you want drivers, get them from the manufacturer's website, not microsoft.
