I am about to buy the Marantz pro-level CD recorder for $640. Any one own one? Is there another model you'd reccomend? Thank You

I bought the HHB 850 about 9 months ago for around $1200. Now about 3 months ago, Alesis came out with their 16/24 bit, 44.1k/96k CDR/CDRW for $1500; I could kick myself. Oh Well!

I had the Tascam Rack mount for about 3 months... It is sooooo cool. But broguth it back and traded for a Blueberry BLue Mic... If you check Guitar Center... the Tascam is selling for 699 now... but the BLUE holds at 1000... I guess I got lucky... Get a burner for your computer and forget this 600$ garbage. If you dont have a computer... umm..
The Burner is the way to go if u have a computer... I would only buy the stand alone if money was no issue. (Yes guys.. I am sorry to admit... RJ is limited in funds..)

RJ and all - - Thanks for the input
I want the stand alone recorder to make live recordings - So it is important that it be "stand alone" The Marantz is looking like the one because it will alsop ignore the samplke rate etc..
