Which out of these two?

I've got a very tight budget right now and I'm looking for a pair of overhead mics. I borrowed a couple from a friend last weekend and they sounded absolutely incredible, and they were $60 a piece, which I think are very close to these which would probably work just fine for me. But then I'm looking at one step up and a little more money, and I'm wondering if a pair of these would be better for me. I can handle the extra $40 or so, so it really comes down to this: which ones would be better for overhead drum micing?

If I were you, I'd get a pair of Studio Projects B1 mics or try to find a pair of Oktava MC012's or MXL 603's. You might be able to find a pair used for around $200.

I had a budget of about $400+ and I settled on a pair of Studio Projects C4's on eBay for $275 shipped. They are FANTASTIC for the money and are interchangeable between omni and cardioid.

The kicker is to get something you won't want to sell in a year. Perhaps look at getting one decent large diaphragm condenser, maybe an Audio Technica AT4040, some kind of MXL, and ADK mic, a Rode NT1000, or one of a million suggestions these guys might have. I know the B1's will have use down the road as tom/snare mics and room mics, and the Oktava's and MXL's can be used on hihat/ride/snare/acoustic/etc. down the road.
