Guitar _sound_test = softer tone/more dynamics but I would try evening out the different parts volume-wise.
Guitar _sound_test2 = brighter tone/less dynamics more even, compressed? I'm getting a bit of distortion when the second part comes in - not much and it may just be my PC speakers.
My vote is work with number 1...

No effects applied to any of them, just normalized.
I agree, B sounds better to me too.
Against a lot of advice around here, I recorded it in my closet to try and isolate the sound from the rest of the room.
People said it wound sound "dead, lifeless, boomy" but I think it sounds better actually.
Recording A was recorded close mic'd in my room.
