I am a bass guitarist who has been tinkering with a trial version of Cool Edit Pro. I'm hooked and now looking to take the plunge. Which way should I go: Cubase or Pro Tools? I guess the Pro Tools is about $100 more - is it worth it?
I appreciate your input.

Neither. Get one of the Cakewalk Sonars

Look at his name and take it under consideration :D J/K bro :p

Either one will do,d/l the demos and try them out, whichever you feel comfy with buy it.

I don't think either is "better" than the other, I went with Cubase so I could use whatever hardware I wanted and take advantage of all the free vst plugs and instruments that are around.
