Hello,
I am looking for a pair of headphones and I am especially looking at the following modells and would like your opinions about them...

Beyerdynamic Dt100 + Dt150
AKG271II
Sony MDR-7506

Their both good. AKG is known more and has more reviews, so I'd personally go with those. Sennheiser have great headsets also.

Best cans for what?

drum tracking? (need some isolation)
To check mixes on?
For the band?

I use the Senn HD280's and find them to sound good and get good isolation.
I've also got some Extreme Isolation cans that sound ok, get good isolation but are uncomfortable.

??

My personal preference is to use closed back cans. Because I crank my stuff up when I'm tracking vocals, it means less bleed into the mic as I'm singing.

I just bought all closed back ones for that reason. Open back are a bit more comfortable but not so much. To me anyway.

I haven't tried any of the ones you mentioned but have heard a lot of good reviews about the 7506's.

Any chance you can try a couple of these to see what works for ya?

I have always been partial to Sennheiser. I got the HD595 a few months back ($130 refurb at Dakmart) and love them.

Closed Back Headphones - good for recording. Reduces bleed from the headphones into the track being recorded. So that your vocal track contains only vocals and nothing else.
Open Back Headphones - good for mixing.

I use a set of Yamaha RH-5Ma's for most of my recording and some mixing-they are a semi closed headphone that are much easier on my ears on long tracking sessions. I have a set of Sennheiser HD 280's as well, and while their bass is just a bit deeper I like the RH-5Ma's comfort and I grab the Yamaha's!

The Yamaha's were half the price of the 280's, too.

Hello again and thx for all respons...
The only thing is that I know everything about semi-closed/closed/sound leaking etc. But thx anyway for all your replies.
The thing how ever is that I still want to know if someone where at this forum have had any experience with the following headphones...

Beyerdynamic Dt100 + Dt150
AKG271II
Sony MDR-7506
