I think I may have to try several pairs out in my own place before I decide for sure, but I need to narrow it down.

Tannoy

I also use the Tannoy Reveals and they are great.

hmm

for hip hop would you recomend the Yorkville Ysmi-p's? I hear they are very good, and half the price of the Event 20/20 BAS.
but i also hear from a lot of people the Events are very good for hip hop.

And what about the Studiophiles-5B by M-Audio?

Are they any good?

Sorry SPINSTERWUN

I got the KRKs my engineer said the cone was better. At least if I don't like them in my own space, I can take them back, THEN I'll get the Events.

NEVA MIND

I FINALLY GOT AROUND TO READING THE OTHER POST.

I WAS JUST IN CHAPEL HILL DOING SOME RECORDING UP THERE

With who?

I know a few groups up there, I don't go there much since the group I was interested in working with broke up. Their underground scene is more live and kickin than here in Raleigh. But we're trying to change that. This cat I used to rhyme with in Highschool just released an album with his group, They're called the ILL BEINGS, their LP is titled Wild America, not surprised if you never heard of em, but they have commercials on TV here, the first I've seen from a local group. I haven't heard the album yet, but that's mostly because I don't want to be dissapointed, I know how good at least two of the cats are, but I heard the album they were planning to come out with over a year ago and I know they changed alot of material.

Your right I haven't heard of them, I usually keep my ear to the street. Maybe I'll run across them soon.
How would you describe you music? Next time you come thru, we can lay something down.

As far as the Hip Hop music I do...

I can't think of an easy way to describe it, I'm a musician my instrumentals are usually melodic with hard beats, I don't use samples usually, but I hate factory sounds. I'm very critical of my own stuff. I guess it's the closest thing to classic Hip Hop nowadays. I stopped writing for about two years and I'm just getting back into writing so I haven't solidified my style yet. My lyrics sway more towards the positive realm, I'm not a thug, but I love battling.

I'll definitely keep you posted nex time I come up there.
