Hey guys, first post here and it seems like a great forum. I recently purchased a presonus audio box and a mxl 4000. i record on cool edit and cubas eon my laptop. The Mxl 4000 has a lot of different options and im kinda a noob to recording. im recording rap songs and im wonder should i use figure 8 cardioid or omni. Also should i use 0 db or -10 and theres a random button on it, theres a straight line and one with a curve what does that mean. if you know any of these answers or have suggestions that would be awesome
