Ok I have an Mbox currently, and as a drummer I want more control over my drum tracks, so I am going to be upgrading soon. Ive looked at 3 different pieces of equipment, and Im hoping you guys can give me distinctions and help me make my decision. Im looking at the Aardvark Q10 pro, Presonus firepod, and the MOTU 896hd. Please tell me your experiences and or what you have heard. If any of you have these, Id love to hear some of your recordings! Thanks

Aardvark are oing out of business so unless you get the Q10 for a good price, stay away.
I've never used either of the other units, but for $600 the Firepod must be worth a look. The Motu costs a grand for the same number of channels. Not sure I see a lot of difference apart from 192KHz sample rate, which is stupid anyway

I second BH's opinion --- Firepod is the way to go. If you have a Firewire port on your computer...

Just for confirmation, if money wasnt an issue between the three you guys would go with the firepod? That was what Ive been looking at most closely, is there anyone that knows much about it or has had experience with it?
