which effects on chrous

hey all,just wanted to know which effects do i need to use on the choruses,for example on the track mase did on check cleared..

he did the line

checked cleared 1,2 1,2 , then he did it again and hes voice sounded double,which thing do i use to achieve this. i hear it everywhere in every song,just cant figure out which it is. plus anyone got any other tips on what to use when i record vocals,around the chorus area,make it stand out.

when you say "chorus", are you refering to the musical structure of a song or the effect? your post is less than clear about this. i don't know the song you're talking about, but i'm guessing from what you're describing you want a delay.



edit: out of curiosity, i downloaded the track. the effect is achieved by simply recording the same vocal line, but the second time it's recorded he has changed the pitch a little bit so he's rapping in a slightly higher tone. no effects can be heard.
