Which capsule do people with more then cardiod use for overheads? Omni, cardiod, or hyperCardiod. I SEE the difference, but i have never been able to try to listen to the differences.

Judging by the types of mics that are the old standards for overheads (SM-81s, KM-184s, AT-4031s, etc...) I'd say cardiod BUT I'd also venture a guess that any and all of the above can and have been used. It would depend on the room, the style of music, the mood of the tune but most importantly, what your ears tell you is right.
