I'm currently using the Delta 1010. It's great and I got it for free. Actually, I traded a Korg Tuner for it.

That being said, I'm upgrading to an RME Fireface 800 in the very near future.

Never Think About It

I use 3 1010's stacked for 24 ins, plus midis...great quality; really the last thing I'm thinking aboot these days. Now if I can just get that chick to stop trying to be annie d., I'd be fine.

An update...

I did get the Mackie 400F and my Firepod came back fixed. I have used both but at this point have stopped using the firepod.

Why? ... The conversion quality in the Mackie is audibly better. The sound is just better to my ears. The preamps in the Onyx are actually pretty good too.
This is a bit of a dissapointment because the Mackie software will only let you have one audio application open at a time.... They are fixing this. Still, it is worth the hassle for the better converters. After all the research I did, it is my understanding that the AD/DA converters in the Onyx400F are equal to, if not better than the any of the MOTU or RME Converters. MAckie advertises them as mastering grade ADK converters... They do sound quite good.

Now if they will just get a software revision out!

I second the MOTU 896HD...it is a flawless unit, and you can daisy chain them like nobody's business...i've ran 4 of them simultaneously before.

That's very cool. I wonder if you could daisy chain a different firewire device and not just another 896?
