Sorry if this has already been asked before...

I'm looking to upload my website to a free host -- no ads, FTP would be nice...and so on. I haven't had a site online in years and it's impossible to find anything good out there. Can anyone here recommend me some websites?

Now adays you really cant get good hosting for free but you can get hosting for very little pricing. I seen some 1.99 a month. www.webhostingtalk.com would be your best bet to find some hosting or google

myspace.com is also a good site that allows you to host your tunes.

Probably very unlikely that you're going to get free hosting with no ads. That's how the provider pays it's bills for you to have that free space.

I've been using HomePage-Host for several months now. It's free and it's excellent: http://hp-h.com/. (Click on my signature below to see my site.)

No ads, 50 MB of storage, no bandwidth restrictions, etc, etc. On top of that, they've got a tireless and friendly bunch of people in their support forum who will not stop until they've solved whatever problem you're having.

The one thing I don't know is whether or not HP-H can handle music files. Got to their support forum and ask if they offer what you need. You don't need to register to get questions answered there.

The overall approach is good HapiCmpur, but I did check the site and it does not allow mp3 files. If you were going to do music, you may have to switch to .wma
