Where to Begin?

Hello all,

I am a novice.. a total newbie to music and sound recording. I want to play some music from my Yamaha Keyboard and record it on my PC with some vocals.

What I have: - Yamaha PSR-250 Keyboard with MIDI output
1 Pentium 4 Laptop with USB Port/Integrated Sound Card
MIDI to USB cable
A simple microphone.

I don't know how to use all the above stuff..to record audio. Can somebody please suggest me where/how do I begin. I have no knowledge about Mixers or other equipment used for recording.

I apologize if this is a double post of a similar question. Any pointers in this direction would be of great help.
