Where do you 'wear' your guitar?

Having long arms (for me at least) does not make it easier to play in the Hetfield/Page stance.
I'll usually keep the bottom of my C-7 right at or just above belt level, a bit higher if the song is too involved.

This (for some reason) reminds me...Friday night we walk into a bar, the band was called "Leather Pistol" and the guy was doing a 10 minute wankfest with his les paul behind his head/neck/back ENTIRELY! What a wanker!!! :D

I never paid much attention... I never change the length of the strap...so I strapped on my Tele and it rest on top of my right thigh with no slack while sitting and when I stand up, the bottom of the axe is just above my navel with the neck pointing up and my right boob rest on the top curve of the body... :D :D :D :D :D

Seems like they ought to make guitars for women (& some men) that have the dips where the bouts are & vice versa. Instead of bout-dip-bout, it would be dip-bout-dip.

 You've seen me playing upright, then!!
That top bout does wonders for showing off my bodacious tatas....

No room to stand up? What kind of cave is that??

No room to move. My guitar would have no headstock by now if I stood up.

That's where I wear it too. I need to have my right arm pretty much extended and not bend so much at the elbow.

I also wear it this low so that it hides my mostly unimpressive package.

With my electric basses (both 34" scale), they're slung to where the top curve of the body sits on my hip. My acoustic/electric bass is slung a bit higher, with the bottom curve of the body sitting on my hip, and that's where I sling my acoustic and electric guitars, as well. I have long arms as well (33-34" sleeve length for dress shirts), so it's doubtful I'll ever play too many stringed instruments any higher than my waist.

Matt

Well I'm a 34"-35", and I don't feel confortable playing that low. Lack of technique, I guess. :o

Could someone please explain the appeal of "separates?" I mean, I understand the "lifts" part of that, but when the bra spreads them apart, they just start to look fake and icky. "Lifts and squishes." THAT is a much better look, if you as me.

I mean, tits are supposed to be squishy, you know?

Sorry for the thread drift.

Well, I mean, there will always be a nice visible cleft in there.

I guess I just spent too much time at the Renaissance festival when I was a adolescent. Lots of very nice cleavage out there in corsets.
