"When The Rain Comes Down" - All Done!! Any Good??

I think the song itself is very nice, well-done. I just don't think much of the recording quality, sounds very thin, lacks depth, very twangy.
 
Rick, thanks for listening! I guess I'm going in the wrong direction. The feedback was much better on the previous version. :o :D
 
I think the vocals sounded quite good, but I think maybe you sacrificed the quality of the guitar slightly to obtain this? It would nice if the guitar was fuller and the vocals could be less full if necessary to accomplish this.

I commented before in one of the other recent threads on this song.

The song itself is exceptional. One of the best I've heard here. The performance is excellent too. But the sound quality has essentially the same problem it had two threads ago.

Hope you figure out the sound quality issue. Something's definitely wrong with the basic tracking.

IMO, given the song quality, this is one of those times when it'd be worth it to just go to a pro studio to track the song.
 
I like the tune very much but it does sound thin. Almost like the over zealous MP3 encoding. What are you tracking to?
