when i stopm on my pedal it doesnt "lock" down to keep it on...

when I stopm on my boss pedal, the light engages but it doesnt lock down to keep it one, i made sure the battery was outta it and everything waas cleared so i know nothin was blocking it form locking down,

do you have any ideas?
