When 2 1680 are sync'd question

Can the track signals for BOTH synced 1680's be routed thru ONE of the VS digi/optical (master or slave) out's to my pc?

Any one know...the manual just states that when the two are sync'd via MIDI you cannot use optical out BETWEEN the two units but does not say anything about a digi out to a pc.
