No prob. Any thread that contains guitars and blow jobs can't be bad! :D

PRS's are the most scientifically perfect guitars. They use only the absolute best woods and inlays and whatnot, their factory is amazing, they chuck anything that isn't absolutely perfect, and Paul is a really really nice guy. But I'm with Light -- there's nothing that stands out to me about their guitars. There's not a distinctive PRS sound, the guitars don't feel absolutely amazing, whatever. And there's really no point in getting a Korean PRS except to have the name.
I disagree with rory though -- they're nothing like a mass-produced instrument. Check a video of any other guitar factory, then check out the PRS factory -- every single instrument is done by hand, by a relatively small group of people. It's amazing, the attention they pay to every single instrument.
Okay, now I'm confused about whether I like them or not. All I know is, there's a guy who sits at the very end of the line and plays every single guitar through an old Mesa/Boogie of Santana's, and I want that job.

I dunno, for me my love of PRS' came from trying out all sorts of different guitars in Guitar Center back when I was like 16. Every time I've gone back there I've tried to convince myself that I'd be better off with a Gibson or Fender, but the PRS' just fit my hands so perfectly (I have really big, thick hands/fingers). Some of the nice(r) Gibsons I've messed with had great sustain, but they weren't much for higher-speed soloing for me (not that you can't shred on a Gibson!!) the PRS just feels right.

On a related note, I've never owned one due to the high price, but I figure since I'm making a go at the whole touring musician rock-star BS thing, I may as well get a guitar a little closer to my skill level (vs. my cheapo Schecter I've got now)

As John Stewart would say, this is your moment of zen.
