TMay or not stereo Tmay:

A mic preamp is a box which amplifies microphone signals or a mic pre can be on a recording DAW which, again amplifies a mic signal.

A stereo mic preamplifier might be like the DUAL ART mic preamp which has two separate sections to handle two mics.

But, I've not yet seen a unit titled a Stereo mic pre.

Stereo, remember, equates to the left ear and the right ear as set forth by another post.

Rode makes a stereo microphone but stereo mics have been around a long time.

Green Hornet:D :p :p :p

The conversation must have been on the subject of 2 channel mic pres, which come in handy for double tracking. I like to use am57 close to an amp off center of the speaker. and then distance mic it with a LD condencer.
