hey all im still on the hunt for a digital recording setup. ive thought about adats, roland systems, protools and many other setups... arg im tearing out my hair.
if i went with a pc system, what would i need. i have a pentium II 350mhz with 64mb of ram, i would put a second hard drive in if i was to use it for recording, a 7200rpm ide 18gb. also i would have to have more RAM to right? what would you recomend for a audio interface in the $300-$500 price range?
whats a good recording program? i was thinking of getting cool edit pro or cake walk pro audio 8. whats a good editing program? is wave lab a good one? (DEEP BREATH)........thanks guy for the help in advance.....

Hi reco...

you don't need more RAM although it never hurts. I would look at the Gina and the AARK Direct (if you can wait a few more weeks). As far as multitrack software I'd take a damn close look at n-track, and Sound Forge XP for editing.
