This thread is completely devoted to music...

My favorite part of making and recording music is seeing everyones gear and listening to the different tones they can come up with.

I appreciate this thread

My modest ferrari collection, let me show you it.. :D

I had a client once with a 6 car garage full of Ferraris. His last name was Marriott ;)

OK, he wasn't my client, it was the guy in the next cube. He showed me the list of Ferraris once though :o

Guitars:
91 or so Black Gibson LP Studio

2005 or so Gibson SG Classic (p90s)

1970-something Vantage 335 knock off with upgraded tuners and classic 57 pickups.

87 CIJ Fender Strat with bill lawrence PUPs

90's MIM Fender Jazz Bass with Fralin PUPs

an old MIJ Squire Tele that will be a project frankenstien axe one day.

1980-something Fender San Louis Rey (cheap acoustic)

Yamaha 12 string acoustic.

$5 yard sale find nylon string by some company from Finland.

AMPS:

1960-something Lafayette 12 or so Watt clone of the univox B-45. It sounds great on "1" clean, anything beyond that breaks up beautifully, untill you get waves of saturated (but a little muddy) distortion at "8" or so. Perfect for garage rock dirty stuff.

90's Fender Blues Deluxe

Fender Blues Jr

Fender Champ

1 x 12 open back cab with an Avatar Hellatone (Celestian Vintage 30)

H & K R250 or something Bass head and a no name cabinet with a carvin 15 in it that i got for free.

Pedals (i am just starting to get into using pedals)

Boss TU-2
Russian Big Muff Pi
Boss CS-3

Daav

Nicely done... :D

Hey, I was taken in. I was thinking, whoa, do I have a ways to go with my my gear collection.

Whew, crisis averted!:D

Actually, I do know people which collections like that (even more extensive), but they also tend to work at/own guitar shops.

Pedals (i am just starting to get into using pedals)

Russian Big Muff Pi
Boss CS-3

Carefull, they can be an affliction. I always tell people I don't use effects much, and then I look at the extent of my list (and I have other rack effects and pedals I haven't even bothered to list) and wonder how that happened.

My "collection" is a bit paltry, but it serves me well.

Guitars:
-Custom made mahogany body with lacewood cap guitar with Ibanez RG neck. (I put an SD hot rod set in it, which some of you helped me pick out, to replace the EMGs it came with)
-1982 Fender Bullet (a long-term loaner from my ex-girlfriend's brother)
-And old Squier Strat from my very first Strat Pack! (covered in stickers!!)
-A crappy Jasmine Acoustic
-An even more crappy Talman InterCity (Ibanez) Acoustic/Electric

Bass:
-2000 Mexican Fender Jazz Bass
-Really crappy Yamaha RBX bass (I'm about to give it to my friend in exchange for footing the bill on a tune up for my Fender bass)

Amps:
-Vox Valvetronix (not great, but certainly better than my old line 6)
-Fender Frontman 25R
-Pignose 7-1000 portable amp (tiny, but some awesome crunch)

I'm also about to buy myself a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe for Hanukkah/Xmas. :D

Ibanez S-320
Schecter Elite-5 Bass
Line 6 Guitar Port

What can I say, I'm a drummer first and foremost.

I'll join the effects game - my amps and guitars are state secrets held in cryogenic vats under the ministry of silence & I'm under a gag order preventing me from revealing how many actually go up to 11.5.
Effects, price paid (AUS$ at approx 0.75 US equiv) status on aquisition and review:
Yamaha FX500 $350 new Still excellent except distortions
Ibanez renometer $5 ancient but great
Behri Blues Over Drive $30 new not bad
Behri Octaver $35 new POS
Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Wah Wah $120 new yummy
No name EQ/boost $30 new OK
Behri BDI21 $40 new FABBO
Behri Ultra DI 120 $25 new efficient
Morrison Big Fluff $80 new yummo!
801 Omnisonic Imager $60 truly ancient but brilliant
Presonus Blue Tube Preamp $80 used not bad
Alesis Microverb $25 very used occasionally useful

Now if I suggest that my guitar & amp aquisitions are reflected in my FX collection you may understand why the wisps of degrading cryo gases appear.
