What's goin' on with everybody

@Mick Doobie
1) Stop looking at yourself in the mirror.
2) If the older dog dies, get a puppy as a companion for your younger dog.
3) Cut the trees down and build a chicken coop as legally close as possible to that damn dog kennel!!!!
4) Get 12 hens and a rooster.

A rooster is probably prohibited by law in residential zoning. Make too much damn noise. Hah!

Here in my town, you need a paid permit to have chickens, and at that, a maximum of 6, no roosters, no chicks (other than those I have over... lol). If one of them dies, you have to bring it to a vet to be disposed of. The house is on 2 acres, with a little woodlot, and out back is, like, 200 acres of field / brush. Crazy how restrictive they are, considering that dogs are waaay worse.

We used to have a large flock before moving here, and we soon realized we could not do without fresh eggs. Needless to say, we egregiously flaunt all related bylaws and have a few hens. No rooster, because we might get reported by our wannabe-"country" neighbors.

We have a large population of roosters and hens which roam the neighborhood at will. The roosters can be a noisy lot at certain times of day when calling their hens. Several miles over in the next town - not only roosters and hens, but - a large population of peacocks are thriving. Now those guys are noisy. They crap all over roofs and vehicles and that corrodes their shingles and paint.

Sounds like your problem is not with the wannabe-country neighbors, but with those who wrote and passed the law(s), who i would assume were voted into office by the community in which you live. Maybe you could work change the law(s)? How about moving?

The neighbors are only a side issue. As far as moving... that's another thing entirely haha.

moving along. Up to 180 grit. I run out at 320 grit unless I want to buy finer sandpaper, I don't think I will need to. I want to replace the pickguard, any thoughts?
Looking nice dogooder. Emery paper (used for metal etc.) is fine and also good for wood.
I once made an electric guitar, and made my own custom picguard from a sheet of hard laminated plastic (thin black - thin white - thick black - thin white - thin black).
Got it from a specialist plastic sheet supplier.
You can see my guitar on my website: romeobravo.net

I made pickguards but I used aluminum and CNC machines. Used a digitizer to rough plot them, then fanagle the G code till I got close. Any engraving I add afterwards. Good enough. Anyway, for 35 to 55 bucks, I will just buy one, but it won't be metal.

I'm partial to white pearloid pickguards on Fenders.

My old Jag was the classic sunburst with tortoise shell guard. One of my bandmates sent a picture recently that had about half of me in the frame. It's the only picture that I have found from that period.

In 1996 I went to work under the table in my friends Historical Restoration company. I went to work at Maria Carey's house in Katonah N.Y. They put me on sanding the front doors. Each about ten by five feet? I am sanding away the first day, not having much experience with wood, and they keep telling me I have to get the swirls out from the machine sanding? I don't see any swirls. This goes on for two days straight and by now I think they are pulling my leg! On the third day they jumped out at me like a 3D Jesus coming out of his grave,. I don't know how I couldn't see them before? There were thousands of them, everywhere. Maybe there were so many I just couldn't see them? We had to keep flipping the doors on the sawhorses between each grit. Took four guys. We did all the finishing of the wood work in the house.

We're getting a couple days of long, soaking rain and it shut down the Daytona 125/125/125/125 for Sunday. It's been bumped to Monday (tomorrow). Cool weather but no rain.

PITA electronics.

When I returned from my doctor's appointment this morning, I went to check something online via my phone and . . . no wi-fi connection. I use my home wi-fi to keep my phone's data usage down. Phone wi-fi is on - ok (but no connection). PC wi-fi is on - ok (connected). Laptop wi-fi is on - ok (connected). So WTF!? :cursing:

Restart and OFF/ON with the phone does nothing. Restart PC - nothing. All devices have working wi-fi except phone. Sooo..

I go online with the PC so I can check my router's situation, but Netgear's pages are not accessible. No problems accessing other sites. WTF !!!?? OK, now I'm really getting p******.

Last ditch. . . Turn phone OFF. I do the router reset procedure of unplugging for 30 seconds, plugging in, waiting for setup to complete with PC and laptop reconnecting. Turn phone ON.

Bingo! PC, laptop AND phone are all connected to wi-fi !!!

Evidently, something not working in the router was preventing connection to Netgear's online sites, yet allowing access to all other sites. Once router was reset, connecting to Netgear was no problem. Another backwards operation.

This crap drives me crazy

Looks like I picked the wrong week to give up pot.

I've had my router lose connection to the net modem on occasion. I can log into the router and see all the connections, but the connection to the internet won't be there. My solution will be to reset both the modem and the router. It never fails, within 2 or 3 minutes I'm up and running.

I did the same thing, using wifi instead of the 5G. Last year, I switched from a 2GB Metro Tmobile plan to 15GB MintMobile plan for less money. The savings paid for the new phone, which was an 5 yr old Samsung J7 with android 7. The new one has more memory, better camera, bigger screen and at 15GB/month I never come close to the limit. The most I've used so far is 4GB.

I'm still using the same T Mobile network. It's crazy.

This is what we did for fun as kids. I dove off this bridge many times. The low end was 36 feet, the middle 55. Wait for them going off the light post on the low end. I probably know half the kids in the video. The song is pretty good also, don't know the band or if they are from the area? Definitely a trip down memory lane. I left town about three years before the color footage.
