Anyone want to buy the Audix or Samson?

Hmmm, I'm pretty much embarrased to post my mic "list" (if you can call it that) after seeing everybody else's....

I'm curious, out of the mics y'all own, what's your most used mic? I'm expecting to hear a lot of SM57's but I'm curious what will crop up besides that.

Now remember, it's not the size of the list that matters, it's how you use them! ;)

I've got:

SM-57
Marshall MXL-2001
Marshall 603

My mics and what I use 'em for

Trumpetman's mic arsenal is small and lacks really fancy high-dollar equipment (for now anyway), but so far I have been very happy with these:

1 SM-58
2 Oktava 012s
1 Oktava 319

It would also be interesting in this thread if people mentioned what they actually record with their mics, as well as providing a list.

I record vocals and acoustic guitar, and of course trumpet. I am still looking for a good mic for trumpet (classical stuff), although the 012s in a stereo pair from above mixed with the 319 directly in front sounds nice.

I have yet to try these mics on other brasses (trombone, tuba, horn), but that is in the future. Any suggestions?

Trumpetman.

I feel better.

I thought I was the only one who didn't have a cabinet full of mics. ;)

My small but respectable arsenal:

1 x AKG D 3900 (Dynamic)
1 x MXL V67G (LD Condenser)
2 x MXL 603s (SD Condenser)
1 x Radio Whack SM58 knock-off (Talk-back mic ;) )

COMING SOON!!
Studio Projects C1 . . . I just can't resist. I've heard too much good about this mic.
Probably a couple SM57s (it's unavoidable)
