What's a good snare mic?

I know the SM57 is the standard snare mic. But I figure there has to be something better out there.
 
Well you can always look around for a SDC that can handle close-miking with loud source or a dynamic mic with a different sound (it's all personal opinion and the sound you're going for), but in my opinion, there's no snare sound you can't get with a well-tuned, good quality snare, a 57 on top and possibly on bottom and an overhead condenser mic.
 
It all depends on the particular snare, the player and the style of music. The mics I like generally on snare however would be MD-441, C-1000, C-3000, AT 4033, GT AM-52 (and sometimes an SM-57).
 
I like the Beyer M201.

BUT...
