Before people push the fact that this is a "Bogner" design, they should get some things straight. First, we do not really know what Bognere did or did not do in the design and/or implementation of this amp. Its about the oldest marketing ploy in the book. Kind of like Neve's ties with Amek and TAC.

On a real note, after hearing this thing, there was no reason to wait for it. I am not here to say it sounds bad because that is a very opinionated thing. It does however sound remarkably similar to "non tube" spiders. For me, it does not even come close or even slightly resemble any Bogner I have ever heard. The most similarity I could draw there is that they both amplify guitar signals.

Okay, along with what this guy said, Bogner was not making an amp that sounded like theirs. Has line 6 every done tube work? I assume not. They asked Bogner to combine their tube circuitry with Line 6's modeling. To essentially shove them in the middle of the modeling stuff. Why would Bogner make another Bogner amp, that sounds like a Bogner amp with the line 6 logo?

Well it's not Bogner's fault but for Line 6 to advertise the versatility of a Line 6 with the tube circuitry of Bogner would lead one to believe some of that signature Bogner power section tone would be there, and it's not. I'm no expert on the electronics of a tube amp but the preamp and power sections work together to create a desired sound and it seems Line 6 managed to completely bypass any of the tone those two sections would add to it's own sound. To me it's just a glorified valvestate amp.

I agree with you to a certain extent there JPX, but you almost just proved my point. If it does not have that Bogner thing going on then why put Bogner on the front? My point is that it says Bogner on the front and that can lead you to beleive that some how it does have that Bogner magic and that Bogner tone. In reality, it really has none of it. Bogner may have actually had VERY little to do woth the amp is what I am saying. The may have just picked up a paycheck and done some minor consulting. There is a good chance that Bogner will make more of the LIne 6 endorsement than their own line of amps.

I am not saying its Bogner's fault..im saying its the fault of the people dumb enough to believe their getting a full blown bogner when they're buying something that has line 6 on the front. And thats where Line 6 is smart enough to get the name of a trusted tube amp company and slap it on their amps.
