voodo chile (slight return).....stevie ray rehashed it and pearl jam beat it to death on an "original" of theirs
smoke on the water.....i think my grandma can even hum that one
Freebird....does a rock riff get any better than that?
i agree on Aerosmith...but their best rock riffs are some of the more obscure tunes like "get the lead out" "back in the saddle"
"same old song and dance" "woman of the world"
but i do agree that "love in an elevator" has one of the best intros of all time.
Great balls of fire.....thats a great timeless rock riff
"tush" by zz top
the kinks "you really got me"
someone mentioned "smells like teen spirit" thats a rip-off of bostons "more than a feeling" riff (acording to kurt cobain...he said he couldn't get it quite the same as boston...so it IS a little bit different)
too many to list really...i don't think there is any "one best riff"
but if i had to pick one it would probably be "whole lotta love"
lol
