For live use? It really depends on what the vocalist likes. Wired = less problems. Wireless = well, less wires.

If wireless actually worked worth crap, there would be no question. Everyone would use wireless for everything. Since you'll note that not a single over-$1000 studio microphone on the planet is wireless, that should tell you something right there....

It really depends on if you're comfortable with your studio space. Going from your postings in the rap section, I'm assuming you're in a bedroom or basement or something like that. I go wired myself. It does what I need it to and the cord's long enough so there's no tripping over it. I think my cord is about 15 - 20 feet. Don't need that long of a cord, but hey when a gift horse looks you in the mouth, you should take his teeth.

For recording, wired. Most definitely. Live, wireless works pretty good.
