I have to buy a new laptop. My old one is dying slowly, but assuredly. What would you get and why?

+1 for ADK
Specifically designed for audio and well tested to ensre compatability with a broad range of audio gear

Off the shelf laptops suck for audio in general. The BIOSes are poorly written and increasing good FW like Texas Instruments is getting harder and harder to find even on macs

15" MacBook Pro - best of both worlds. You can run Apple's Logic Pro (which I prefer over both Cubase and Sonar) or if you are so inclined, Windows on a Boot Camp partition.

I am a Reaper guy, and they only have beta version of Reaper for Mac, so I am inclined to stay away from it for now.

I really like the ADK, but they are a bit out of my price range right now...
