Bring Back Transfat!
I asked about this last month before my amp spazed out completely.
It's a Marshall VS265 with a small tube in the pre section. It's about 1.5" tall and 7/8" in diameter. There's not one bit of print on this thing. Not one letter or number.
The kids at RadioShack didn't have a clue. Nor did Jaba the Hut at the local Music Go Round.
I've scoured the web including Marshall's website, but haven't found any info on it yet.
The amp would play fine for about 15 minutes and then issue this loud, muddy hum. If I slapped the top gently, it would subside for a few minutes. Kinda like the TV mom used to have!
Anyway, the hum is a constant now and I'm hoping it's associated with this tube.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Thanks guys.
