Heyyy Mi amigo, cómo es usted?
does this make more sence? Amo Google!
uhh ok. The Phase thing.
Here is what I think this is about:
Lets say there is a 4x12 guitar cab, and you put many mics in front of it. I sometime do it. Just to explore. To see what's going on with this cab and those mics.
You may sometimes hear some mics combination interesting. When it appen, I always check the phase of both mics, and move them sometimes to try to modify the sound a bit...still play with the phase... I also sometimes end up with "inverted" phase on one mic!
In fact, I dont really care about "using the right phase" I prefer use what my ears, and the involved guitar player love too, of course.
We may have some other replys here, I'll check them out cuz there is certainely many, many other awnsers/suggestions!
Maybe what you read is simply, be sure taht in you setup, you dont "cancel" or modify any mics sound when you record many at the same time, like a drum kit but.. ya know, I dont think we can find a way that the snare wont influence, in many ways, what will be recorded in the 10" rack tom right beside it. The snare may be out of phase in this tom mics. Never know. What do you want to do about this? Move it a bit to the left....hmmm..of soundss good for the snare now. Damn! the floor tom looks now out of phase in this mic!!
Never saw anybody work this way!!
Dunno if this help in anyway, but I tried!
véale más adelante!!
