hey, i ordered a (supposedly) pair of yorkville ysm1i's from musiciansbuy.com



i just received them today...theres one box...and the box says quantity: 2 (1 pair)....but theres only 1 studio monitor!! n the box just fits one....so what am i missing here? my receipt says that i got a pair for a total of $240...but the order form that i got says that i got one at the manufacturers retail price of $160. i dont get it!!! what am i missing??? or is it just their fault??
 
The YSM-1s are packaged 2 in a box, they lie flat on their sides, stacked...

I guess they thought they had an unopened box, and shipped it out... obviously that wasn't the case....!

Call 'em back.........

and what else is confusing is that while the quantity says 2, the details on the box all say near field reference MONITOR...not monitors...does that mean anything?

the order form that was from yorkville says
qty ord: 1
qty ship: 1 (and the one is circled)

then later, in the middle of the empty space in the form, theres a written 22...

but thanks blue bear, i have to wait until tomorrow...DAMMIT! ha
 
Well near field refrence monitors is what they are so that's not a problem.
I'd be pissed. You should demand they ship the other one for free.
 
i am pissed...the point i was making was that it says MONITOR...with no "s", so does that mean anything??ha
 
It's perfectly normal that a box sais 'Monitor' and Quantity 2.

Just as a candy box would say Daim (quantity 20), not '20 Daims'. :)

It's very strange that a box that holds 2 only fits 1, though. But since your receipt and the order form sais completely different things, I guess they fucked up in the shipping.
 
How much did you actually get charged? $160, or $240?
If it was $160 (when you did order a pair), maybe they ran out and decided to send you the ONE they had left /: and hoped you were stupid and wouldn't notice...

but if you ordered a pair, and your online receipt shows a pair. And you expected a pair 'til your odd discovery upon recieving your package. Since they had shitty customer service and didn't tell you of the change (should have checked with you no matter what before shipping item). They should at the least send the other monitor for free and throw in some speaker cables and stuff for screwing up.
