i agree with you on this 100%...but are we goin to to it underground style or comerrical style so they can take any track off the cd and play it on the airways without problem of worrying about cuss words..and what nots..or we can have it edited before its submitted...
Good point bknot. I'd prefer to have 2 different versions, an edited for the stations, an unedited to get word out on the streets, with the edited version available by request.
The songs I was going to contribute were both radio friendly, but the tracks others may put in might not be. I know I can edit my own material, what about the rest of you guys?
I also thought in the tracklisting on the inside of the CD, we could have the website for that particular artist.
Example:
2.) Fieva - Ridin' Skinnies
Produced by C. Waites
Fieva appears courtesy of Hammerback Records
(c) 2005, Hammerback Records
Website:
www.hammerbackrecords.com
Like I said, that's an example (hammerbackrecords.com isn't out yet but it's coming), but it'd only work if everyone took part in it and put hustle into the whole project. Who's game? I've heard a lot of good shit that needs to be heard by other folks. I'm a businessman first, musician second, so I thought this would be the perfect idea for us to get together on something and truly be able to call ourselves fam, ya heard?
Everyone would still own their tracks as they'd be individually copywritten.
