What should i look at for a studio?

I want to start a small studio . Im already looking at buying a Tascam 388 or 38 but i dont know what mixer i should get for the 38.
What i have now is a Sheops 444 Shure 57 and a boom (which i probably wont use). I have a nanocompressor and a nanoverb for effects and right now what i want to sell or trade for money is a tascam 424 mkII if anyone wants to buy it talk to me, i wont be selling soon.
What i want to get is:
-Tascam 388 or 38
-kick mic
-snare mic
-2 overheads
-bass mic
-vocal mic
-1 tom mic
-another sm57 for an extra guitar or vocal
-8 stands
-8 cables

If anyone has a tascam 388 which is want i really want contact me. Im very low on money right now for this stuff. The sound that i want to get from my recordings with this stuff is a vintage sound.

ive used a tascam 38 years ago for a short time.
they can be ok. but just be sure that you can get service near where you are. this is true of all tape machines. because if you cant get service your in trouble.
if were me i would look for a used tsr8 (later tascam 8 track) if you can find one in good condition.
if your really into this stuff though some guys get two 8 tracks.
record the bed tracks on one. then mixdown to stereo to a second one
and add 6 more tracks. and while mixing to the second one they add some more tracks on the fly.
and heres a tip, once you have the 8 tracks on the second machine and the added 6 tracks done you could output to a pc equipped with a 8 in sound card, and manipulate or add further tracks if you wish.
personally i now use a pc for all recording and mixing.

Why are you set on using analogue to begin with? I'm not convinced analogue offers good value for a beginner (such as myself) when you consider what can be had in terms of digital all-in-ones or PC platforms.
