It is a Conduit Mark 5 or Big River high speed recorder for military applications.
It is supposed to recorder 64 tracks at 16 bit and 1 MS/s.
Used for recording explosive events.
The thing is about the size of a refrigerator with 16 IDE drives.
It says the 2 terabytes of storage will hold 4 hours of high speed recording at 200 Mb per second.
But what I'm thinking is it seems like you can add some D/A channel output hardware for each track and design a program for this equipment to use it like a normal recorder.
