Hey, what is everyone's favorite mic for youre voice? The two that I actually like quite a bit on my voice are(i dont know if these are strage choices)...

Shure Beta 58(live)
AKG C2000b(it sounds good on my voice - anyways!)

what about everyone else?

I think Ozraves also likes the AT 40 series. :D

I'm a big fan of the SM-7 on my own voice . . . and I see a trend in that.

Jesus, Scott. The combined value of your mic cabinet is greater than my entire net worth. :D

Favorites-
B.L.U.E. Kiwi
AKG C2000B
Rode NTK
Studio Projects C3
AKG D770

There's a couple that I like on me. An Octava MC-319 (SoundRoom) and a Shure Unidyne III 545SH.

I'm still looking, but the Unidyne III seems to be the most forgiving. Love to try an SM7.

TLM-103 is my favorite. Second is the Audio Technica 4050.

SP C-1
Senn 421
SM-57/58 in a pinch

I've tried a Baby Bottle a few times - hasn't done it for me. Ditto my Banjo Mart MK-319. I'd also like to try an SM-7.

Baby Bottle's my preferred girl mic, though.

not for my voice b/c i'm just a producer but for my artist:

Sp C1(nice and bright for soft singers)
Neumann TLM193( all around good vox mic)
Neuman U87ai(smooth and sounds good on all my artist)
ADK A51Tc(very clean tube mic, very light color, sounds great)

the ADK is my main Vox mic at my home studio.

I depends on the style of song. For raw stuff I like the SP B1. The little bump in the upper mids brings out just the right amount of character. For smooth stuff like jazz, I like the Rode NT1000.

Blessings, Terry

My PC's old soundcard mic - that way I can blame the shitty sound on the mic.

To qualify, I have a rock & roll voice (somewhere between Cocker & Springsteen). I've always found a standard SM58 works for me (even in the studio).

I have an AT 4047 that works well with my voice - and I've recently used a TLM-103 (at a different studio) that worked well.

If the mic is too good, my vocal weaknesses become too obvious.

SP B3
NTK
AKG 414 (not sure which type, it was borrowed.)

I've tried a few LDC's and SDC's, and for some reason I prefer SDC's on my own voice it seems. So I keep going back to my Neumann KM84. For rougher tracks and guide vocals I often use an SM58 that's on stand-by, and sometimes those tracks turn out to be keepers, at least to some extent.

ADK A51CE (Commemorative Edition)
I haven't tacked with it - only tried it with headphones, but I was blown away!
