What makes a Good Singer Sound Great?

My mate's a right fat knacker, but he can't sing at all. :confused:

Most likely it's nothing to do with his size, but the fact he hasn't learn the skills yet :) Size is irrelevant, well, that's what I keep telling the wife :p
 
Actually few pop singers have great voices what they have is love for the trade, persistence, training, dedication, good looks, luck, management and a lot of sound edition in some.

His main genre is qawali, (devotional music). But he then started singing bollywood songs. That song is qawalli mixed with some western instruments since it was for the Nobel Prize. He does a lot of live shows in US. Never got chance to attend.

He was adopted at a very young age by Nusrat Fateh Ali khan, who is the maestro in Qawali. He has an amazing range. i feel his high pitch is more of a belting style that it goes right through your heart.

There are good singers and then there are singers like Rahat.
