simple enough question, what kind of mics do you guys use/prefer to use?
 
MXL 960 TUBE MIC// Check out the songs on my myspace page to hear it in action... i'm running it through the Edirol UA-700 audio interface (love it!!)

ay fyre... how do you like that akg?? i've had my eye on the perception 200 for the longest now.. just wondering what you thought about that brand
 
Nuemann U-67, U-87, TLM 193, or the TLM 103 depending on what room, time & day it is

I got a perception 200 in my closet somewhere homie. It's a decent sounding mic. Great mic for the price though.

ok lol from now on you dont answer these what kinda gear do u use questions lol you make me feel inferior haha.... sike naw that shit just make me work harder so I can get there someday.....

but yea Cell I love my 100 sounds good to me lol..... To bad I got it when it like first came out so it was still 150 when i got it now she 100... oh well

lmao you'll always hear me mention the gear I usually use with, but never mention the home recording gear I use haha. That will remain a mystery until I finish building my studio. Ok, at Home, I have a u-87, 193, 103 and a perception 200. The most awful gear piece I own (4 items), is a Furman 31 band short throw EQ, Berry MDX 2600 comp/limit & a sonic maximizer berry 12 channel mixer. The EQ & MDX are hooked up, but the other 2 are sitting somewhere in the closet. I think it's called the MDX? lol They mostly to make my rack look more full ;)
 
ksm27 4 life but naw only mic i ever owned.........they say its a good mic
