Wiki says Mike Bloomfield played guitar on the track and I'm trying to figure out what kind of guitar it is. It sounds alot like a Beatles Rickenbacker sound but I'm not sure. It definitely sounds similar to the guitar sound at the end of 'Got to Get You into My Life'

Does anyone know for sure? Amp as well?

I really like this sound and i would love to use it in my recordings.

Bloomfield was a big Telecaster player. I'm not totally sure that's what he played on that track, but that's the guitar I always associate with him.

Yeah, the pictures I've seen usually have a fender strat or tele.

Dylan was definitely playing a Tele those days. Bloomfield I know played a Tele too, though I thought he used a Les Paul on occasion...? Though to be fair I've always thought those two guitars sound more alike than they're often given credit for - the LP obviously has a lot more gain and is a little thicker, but a super-clean LP and a Tele into a hot amp have awfully similar attacks, especially the LP bridge pickup. Just ask Jimmy Page. ;)

Either way, a Tele (most likely) or possibly a Les Paul into some sort of a Fender tube amp should get you there.
