Hi guys, what is track bouncing? (Some feature I just found in Logic Audio)

Generally it is taking multiple tracks and mixing them down to a new, single track.

You might, for ex., take background singers who are on seperate tracks and bounce that down to one "background vocals" track. This can help playback by reducing the number of tracks you are dealing with (assuming you delete or archive the original tracks). Generally it is advisable to backup your original tracks, in case you decide later on to change the mix.

Bouncing can also refer to the process of mixing down your entire mix to a single stereo track.

Yo BeaTHOVEN and the 5th:

Just remember, if you bounce two tracks to a third track, you can only "tweak" that track and you will lose individual EQ for the bounced tracks as well as other tweaks. Oh, you can do EQ on the three tracks but maybe it won't work for THREE DIFFERENT INSTRUMENTS or a vocal and drum line, etc.

That's why multiple tracks gives you the advantage of leaving your tracks open to tweaking and adjustment before you do the mix and final CD, etc.
