I got given this (Soundlab DEQ 31X1) with my new amp. Does anyone know what it is?

I googled it but it only displayed results in other languages?

I think it may be an equalizer but i really am not sure.

Just from the model number I'd suspect that it's a single-channel, 31-band graphic EQ.

lot of different ways to hook it up. Is it stereo? The 31X1 probably means it's one channel (mono)
If it were stereo,, one way you could use it would be L/R outs from the mixer to the L/R inputs on the eq and then the L/R outputs of the eq to the amp for a nice playback system..
But if it's only one channel, you won't be able to use it on a stereo system. You could still use it between the mixer and amp for PA use since you usually run club systems mono. Or you could use it in the channel inserts to have lots of control over a particular channel.
Or you could use it for special effects when tracking.
