what is the sound quality difference...

other than spdif, midi, 4 x-tra analog i/o (and the wonderful rack ears)

are there any sound quality (a/d conversion, bandwidth, power supply...) differences between the Delta 44 and the 1010.

If i only needed 4 analog in/out would it be a waste to purchase the 1010, or is there a benefit in the long run.

If you need only four channels, get the cheaper model.

Both are 24 bit 96k cards and I think they use the same converters,though the 1010 has a better signal to noise & distortion figures,but if you can live without midi, spdif & only need 4 analogue ins and outs, you'd be unwise to buy the 1010, unless you can hear the difference-personally my monitor setup cant tell the difference (or is that my ears )
I use 2 audiophiles, coz I need my midi & that combo gives me 32 channels, plus 4 analogues (24/96) & 4 digital.This is perfect for my needs-the moral-suss what you need & buy accordingly.

Man, Thanks for bringing that to my attention. I just left there site and the Tech specs are a little better on the 1010.
