I have an old Fender M80 (non chorus) with a single 12. It has a 1/4 jack on the front called preamp out. What is it for and when would I use it?
I do not have a manual.
The way I use it now is when I am playing in my studio - plugged into the amp - I also connect a patch from the preamp out in to one of the channels on my Carvin board. This get the sound to come out of the mains as well as the amp. Is this an ok thing to do?
Also, I have to have the volume so low on the left input jack for my small studio - what do I loose to use the right side jack - which has less gain?
Thanks,
