What is the difference between Tracking, Monitoring, Mixing, etc?

The settings page is where you find out who repped you. That's how you found out that I repped you.

Anyway, don't worry about me. I haven't posted in the OT forum for months. I just happened to see your thread title and it got my curiosity, so I came in and found the conversation a little suspect. I still do, but I won't derail it any more. Actually, I didn't even derail it in the first place. I just repped you to let you know what I think. You derailed it by going on a 300 word rant about it.

I'm not saying I don't believe you. I'm just saying headphones aren't good for mixing full stop. (period....stupid americans.)
Handpicking different types of cans for different jobs isn't going to improve your experience or product by much.

I'm sure plenty of people have said open backed are preferred for mixing but it's like asking if you'd rather open a can of food with a knife or a fork?
You might favour the knife but it's still the wrong tool for the job. :)

I love the way you put things, clearly, concise, to the point. (we're not all stupid, some of us are completely whacked out insane...)

joms, Gecko Zedd recommended spending $75 on cans and saving the rest of your money on monitors. This is grand and great advice, and I'll advocate that approach.
As far as RAMI, I understand what he's saying, but when I come to Newbies, I kind of expect to waste a little time. I wasted some of everybody's time on several occasions here and got scorched a couple times, too. Glad I hung on. Do the same! It'll all work out when you get everything sorted and get on your way!

I found this at the other forum site i frequent.
