Absolutely right...!!! I've heard AKG C3000B (condenser) but never tried it myself. I'll stick with SM58 Beta and U67...

AKG C3000B wouldn't be my first choice for vocals. Or my second.

For condensor I'd say U87, or in a more affordable world a C1 or NTK.

If your doing live as well probably the SM-58 it sounds good, rugged and durable.
