What is the best Tab site?

If I were a fabulously successful recording artist I'd be including the tab with the damn CD for anyone who was even vaguely interested. I recall seeing a CD by a local artist that had chord diagrams for some of the songs.

Why wouldn't you want everyone who could working out your stuff from the tab and playing to everybody who'll listen? Talk about free marketing!

Better than having people that don't have ears posting lame-fisted attempts at your stuff up on the net (you can tell I've found some crap tabs lately, can't you....)

Cheers

I've started going through and saving them in word for later.

Go to WholeNote.com and hang out for a bit. Learn to use your ear to learn songs. Tabs are lame.

Interesting that everyone saying "hey use your ears and forget about tabs" are teenagers or otherwise too young to drink.

Yeah, when I was that young, I had time, too. In fact, when I was that young, I figured out songs by ear.

Time, guys. Time. That's the missing ingredient for some of us. Mine is limited, and I'd rather spend it playing, composing and practicing than figuring.

As for Armistice's point, Bowling for Soup has a page on their website where you can get lyrics and tab for some of their songs. It's not a complete list, and frankly, the tab was disappointingly horrendous. But it was nice to see a band start to go in that direction.

Just curious Monsoon, How old are you and how long have you been drinking? More importantly, how long have you been playing guitar? At what point did you stop using your ears to learn songs? Was it when you turned 21?

Oh no! I must only have one year left before my time runs out too!

The bottom line Monsoon, is everyone's time is precious to them, no matter their daily responsibilities. I find it hilarious that you see any relevance between age and the ability to learn by ear.

If you like Bob Dylan, this site http://www.dylanchords.com/ was awesome for tabs and all sorts of info. The guy who set up the site works out all the tab in great detail. He's accurate as can be. I never knew Bob used so many odd tunings. I knew he loved the capo, but the tunings were a surprise. Anyway, this guy has had to take down his tab. Everyone is asking him for the 'zip' file of all his tab.

Anyway, great site. I hope he posts the zip for a little while
