Something that's better then 18-bit or 20-bit A/D converter :D

I think it means analog to digital.

Hmmmmmmmmm...

I would normally ask "why do you ask?", but it really doesn't matter eh? :)

Apogee and Lucent are considered by many to be the two best, with Lucent having a little more favor. But, you will find that some of the elite in audio production have other preferences by obscure companies.

Yo Higher than Most:

24 bit anything is nice stuff; I noticed a great improvement in quality when I bought a rather low cost Lexicon FX unit. Nice and clear and not boomy as many Fx units are, unless you buy the 24 bit and higher if it exists.

If it's analog, you are hearing it with your ears.

If it's digital, it is a formula of numbers that converts analog into nice sound via the digital process; when you hear it again, it's analog. It's a simple world sometimes.
