J joswil44 New member Mar 20, 2007 #4 I had to slam on the brakes on the way home from a gig when someone pulled out in front of me. The bass was not in a case and it flew forward from the back of the car and hit my dashboard. Luckily we heard it sliding and moved our heads. Thats ducking the bass!

Click to expand... soooooooo very true i didnt know it was just a compressor that does it i thought it was just reducing the volume triggered by an external sorce, i.e. sidechaining although using a compressor would achieve the same effect! (unless it had auto make up gain)
